With God

She handed me a tiny card and petite present.

"It's just something 'little'," she said, "for all you do."

Her gesture – of the handmade sort – touched my heart.

We'd both given over our work with preschoolers to Providence.

These profound words spoke.

I carried the tiny frame and card home. As I held them in my hands sitting on the couch in my coffee nook, the words spoke louder.

WITH GOD, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE."

I smiled thinking: 'ALL THINGS,' like finding:

• just the right words to comfort and

• just the right colors to express them.

She'd never been to my home, known my decorating colors, or seen the Bible verses embroidered on the pillows here in my sanctuary.

How else could she have known? But, With God.
