I am seven...
Mom made me kransekake. It's a special Norwegian cake that takes a really, long time to make. I've been bugging her to make one for a really, long time... and finally, she did. It's my favorite! She got me these warm, cozy clothes too.

Mom says: that's because Dad remembers what it's like to be a seven-year-old boy and get a package of new underwear when he'd rather have had a cool toy – like remote-controlled, flying helly...copter – on a double golden birthday.
